Hi, I’m Claudia
I believe in the power of being witnessed.
There is something profoundly healing about having our pain acknowledged — not minimized, rushed, or explained away. Being seen in our suffering reminds us that we are human, and that we were never meant to do this alone.
This belief is what drew me to trauma work. Through both personal and professional experiences, I’ve seen how trauma and emotional neglect shape individuals, families, and systems.
So much of trauma lives in isolation. In what wasn’t said. In what wasn’t acknowledged. In what we learned to carry on our own.
I believe healing begins with acknowledgment.
With witnessing.
With compassion.
I help clients strengthen their sense of self so they can build relationships that feel more secure, authentic, and fulfilling.
If you’re ready to begin, I’m here.
Claudia Galván, LPC
ValuesAs a first-generation Latina, I understand the complexity of navigating multiple worlds — balancing family expectations, cultural values, responsibility, and identity. I know what it feels like to carry both pride and pressure at the same time.
Those experiences shape how I see people. None of us develop in isolation. We are shaped by our relationships, culture, faith, family systems, and the broader communities we move through.
I strive to offer care that is anti-oppressive, affirming, and respectful of people from all identities, cultures, and backgrounds. Your lived experiences and the parts of your identity that matter to you are an important part of understanding your story.
Personal Life
And when I’m not in therapist mode…
I love slow mornings and a good cup of tea. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my partner, daughter, and close friends.
Some of my favorite things to do:
🏋🏽♀️ Strength training — I’ve been lifting on and off for a few years and try to keep the mindset of progress over perfection.
☕️ Coffee shop exploring — I love chai, but when I try a new spot I almost always order a latte with cinnamon, cafe de olla if available!
🌿 Morning walks — Especially when the weather is nice.
🍞 Baking — It’s one of my favorite ways to relax. So far, my cheesecake and banana bread are tied for the top spot.
📚 Reading — I’m usually reaching for historical fiction or a good thriller (recommendations always welcome).
🎮 Entertainment — Board games, trivia, Nintendo, puzzles, & movie marathons are regular favorites.
💃🏽 Dancing — Cumbia, salsa, merengue… if there’s music and a dance floor, I’m probably on it.
